Sacraments

Sacraments at Our Lady of Pompeii Church

A sacrament is a visible sign, rooted in Jesus' passion, death, and resurrection, that gives grace. It is a ritual action celebrated within the community of faith (the worshiping community) through the power of the Holy Spirit. The sacraments are for the Body of Christ, the Church, to keep the Body of Christ dynamic, alive, and reaching out with Christ's love to the world.
